Barry’s work has been global in scope, with the development of inventive opinion-shaping print and media campaigns on major products and public issues for some of the world’s top companies in international environments, including Saudi Arabia.
Barry’s specialty is the invention of effective, creative new ways to communicate an idea or establish public policy. His fresh approach has led to increased sales for companies such as Bell Canada, IBM, and Nortel. He has designed and executed new corporate positioning for both private companies and public organizations.
In the high-level policy field, Barry has created advocacy programs that placed his clients’ requirements at the forefront of the public policy debate. He was the author of a best-selling book on how to interact with the federal government, and a second best-seller called “Fast Lane”, which crystallized the growth ideas of the pinnacle CEO’s from across Canada. In his current work with CATA, Barry has created and executed the “TechAction Town Hall Program”, a pan-Canadian drive to increase the effectiveness of a community’s use of advanced technology.
