Industry Canada
CATAAlliance maintains a close liaison with Industry Canada to ensure that our members' concerns are well understood by the department.
Cata has been actively involved in Industry Canada/Human Resources Development Canada's Innovation Agenda consultations since reports on the Agenda were first published in 2001. We will continue to contribute as the Agenda is rolled out.
CATA has also offered its advice on intellectual property rights, immigration policy and broadband access. The latest issue to emerge is competition policy. The Competition Bureau has initiated a round of consultations on possible amendments to the Competition Act. CATAAlliance will participate in the disucssions.
