Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance is pleased to organize PT ExpoComm 2004 this year in Beijing, China. A Canadian Pavilion, strategically located in Hall One, Level two, will showcase our ICT expertise, knowledge, equipment, and services.
First held in 1984, PT ExpoComm has become the largest and most important international information and communication exhibition in Asia. This year's exhibition will feature over 600 exhibiting companies in 8 exhibition halls from over 30 nations of the world - and 300,000 visitors are expected over the five days of the show. The networking opportunities are outstanding. Nortel Networks will attend the show again this year and will have an exhibition area of 360 square metres.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), all the major Chinese carriers and service providers will be present - China Telecom, China Netcom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Railcom, and China Satcom. Also present will be the world's leading ICT equipment manufacturers and technology suppliers. All together, at one broad-based, international, total industry event - in a country where double-digit growth is common, and ICT growth is spectacular.
The Canadian Embassy will present a Technical Seminar on Thursday Oct. 28th and a Networking Reception on the same date.
Telecom continues to be a major part of the growth in the Chinese economy. There are over 500 million telephone subscribers in China, and 250 million of them are cellular telephone users. Imagine the market represented by FIVE MILLION NEW CUSTOMERS ... each and every month! This is the same as the entire population of Canada getting new a new cell phone and service, twice a year!
And the players will all be at ExpoComm in Beijing ... and you can be too!
I hope you will be able to join us for one or all of these activities. I look forward to greeting you in Beijing, the home of the 2008 Olympics, the home of Digital Olympics / Digital Beijing, and the site of PT ExpoComm 2004.
To proceed with the logistics arrangements, we need to know if you are interested in the show. CATA welcomes your participation in the way that you feel is most beneficial to your business needs.
