Public Safety Advisory Board (PSAB)

Mission Statement

The PSAB seeks to bring the technology needs and interests of private and public safety professionals and practitioners to appropriate stakeholders attention and facilitate actions that will bring the capacities of CATA and its members to bear on addressing them

Mandate

The PSAB contributes in a wide variety of ways towards the effectiveness of CATA’s initiatives and shares a critical role in ensuring that all are relevant to the needs of the practitioners and innovators that serve them.

As experts in their respective fields, PSAB members:

  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, projects and initiatives – advise and act on recommendations relating to the planning, implementation and communications of identified needs
  • Build strong alliances through linkages within their respective networks/communities
  • Identify and advocate on current and pending political, legislative and regulatory developments
  • Advise on the present and future trends/needs of the community and marketplace
  • Provide leadership and contribute to CATA’s public safety mandate and direction

PSAB Members The PSAB meets once a quarter and holds regular teleconferences towards advancing our public safety mandate.
