Superintendent Paul Beesley
Director, Behavioural, Forensic & Electronic Services, Ontario Provincial Police

Superintendent Paul Beesley started his policing career in 1986 as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police where he was assigned to various front-line policing duties. In 1996 he became a member of the Ontario Provincial Police and served as a detachment detective, a violent crime analyst, a financial crimes investigator and a homicide investigator.

As a member of the Ontario Provincial Police Superintendent Beesley’s cross-command leadership experience includes tenures as a Manager in the Professional Standards Bureau, the Director of the Anti-Rackets Branch, The Director of Organized Crime and as the Director of Behavioural, Forensic and Electronic Services.

Superintendent Beesley also served as a Major Case Manager in the Criminal Investigations Branch for 5 years where he investigated homicides across Ontario and was designated as a multi-jurisdictional Major Case Manager by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. Superintendent Beesley is a recipient of the Ontario Homicide Investigators Association Major Case Management Award and the Robert Faulkner Memorial Award for Outstanding Investigation from the International Association of Outlaw Motor Cycle Gang Investigators.

Superintendent Beesley holds a Master of Science from the Centre of Financial and Management Studies (CeFims) at University of London, England.
