Peter Sloly
Executive Director, Deloitte

Peter Sloly is an Executive Director with Deloitte Canada working in the Cyber section of the Risk Advisory services. Peter leads leading two national practices for Deloitte. The first is "Security & Justice" practice to modernize and optimize Canada's police, courts, corrections, emergency responders, national security agencies and transportation hubs. The second is the "Convergence Security" practice to enable private and public sector organizations to be more safe, vigilant and resilient by more effectively integrating their physical and cyber security operations.

Peter is a trusted c-suite advisor as well as a thought leader on convergence security and criminal justice related issues. Peter has participated in projects that includes conducting counter terrorism operations, protecting critical infrastructure, managing security maturity assessments, designing security strategy roadmaps and building fusion centers.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Peter was a decorated Deputy Chief of Police with the Toronto Police Service. During his policing career, Peter participated in local, national and international assignments including graduating from the FBI National Academy and being a command officer during two tours of duty in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo.

Peter has a Masters of Business Administration (Schulich School of Business - York University) and a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology (McMaster University). He has authored numerous articles and he was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph-Humber.

Peter received the following awards; Officer of the Order of Merit "Police Forces" Medal, the United Nations Peacekeeping medal, the Canadian Peacekeeping Medal, the Police Exemplary Service Medal and the Queen's Jubilee Medal for public service.

Peter was a professional soccer player and represented the Canadian National Soccer Team. He currently sits on several local, national and international NGO Boards.
