The Modernization of the Canadian Government Roundtable: Attention Civil Servants in Government Departments & Agencies

The Canadian Federal Government is embarking on fundamental change in the way government works, communicates and delivers services to Canadians.

Businesses in Canada have spent the past decade adapting to change and embracing technology. They have developed new and innovative ways to engage their customers, delivering services more efficiently and more cost effectively.

This transformation will provide both opportunities and pitfalls. Success will depend on collaborations and the ability to leverage different experiences and specialized expertise.

Join the University of Ottawa, One Million Acts of Innovations, CATAAlliance, and our sponsors on February 9th from 8 am to12 pm and participate in live focus groups with graduating students and foreign trained professionals.

In this peer to peer Roundtable discussion, you will:

  • Meet peers from other departments and learn how collaboration is currently working within their departments
  • Meet Gen Y students and foreign trained professionals and discuss different ways of collaborating given current policies and procedures
  • Work with peers and identify policies and processes that need to be reviewed
  • Identify immediate action steps to engage the transformation and to leverage the opportunities.
