The Innovation Management Association of Canada (IMAC)
A division of CATAAlliance
Formed in 1996 from the merger of the Canadian Research Management Association (CRMA) and Canadian Association for the Management of Technology (CANMOT), IMAC is an association of research, technology management, and innovation leaders in Canada. Its mission to create and promote a collective wisdom in the area of management of technological innovation.
IMAC members are responsible for planning, managing and administering scientific and technological research and innovation. They are from industry, universities, research institutes, and various government departments and agencies.
The main aims of IMAC are to:
- create a peer group of research, technology management, and innovation leaders in Canada for sharing first hand updates and trend information in the fields
- celebrate innovation through the IMAC Innovation Management and Distinguished Member Awards and participation in other national Awards programs
- promote public policies supportive of Canada's Innovation agenda
- offer value to members through the timely communication of relevant business information and access to educational seminars at discounted registration fees
IMAC recently merged with CATAAlliance, the industry's largest high tech trade association, to 'amplify' IMAC's advocacy messages through a public affairs lobby that is generally acknowledged to be the best in its sector". IMAC members benefit from CATA's platform of services and resources.
