Dr. Morel P. Bachynski is the President of MPB Technologies Inc. Founded in 1977, this company is extensively involved in lasers, electro-optics, fusion research, radar technology, and most recently the international optical fibre trans-Atlantic telecommunications system (TAT-9). Previously, Dr. Bachynski held various positions with RCA Ltd. including vice-president R&D. Dr. Bachynski received a Bsc in Engineering-Physics and an Msc in Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD from McGill University. He holds DSS Security Clearance (secret). Throughout his career, numerous distinctions have been awarded to Dr. Bachynski, including fellowships with the Royal Society of Canada and the American Physical Society, and awards ranging from "Canada Awards for Business Excellence - Entrepreneurship" to "Prix Scientifique du Quebec". Currently, Bachynski is a member of the Science Council of Canada and the International Scientific Advisory Committee for the B.C. Advanced Systems Foundation. He is the co-author of the book "The Particle Kinetics of Plasmas" and author of more than 80 publications in recognized scientific journals. |
