Catherine Boivie is Senior Vice-President of Information Technology at Pacific Blue Cross where she provides leadership and vision in the planning, development and management of technology initiatives throughout the company. With nearly 2 million members covered, Pacific Blue Cross is the market leader and most trusted provider of Extended Health Care and Dental coverage to residents of British Columbia and through its subsidiary, Blue Cross Life, life insurance and disability income protection. In 2003 Gartner, Inc. awarded Catherine the IT Executive of the Year Award for Midsize Enterprises. Catherine is the founding chair of both the CIO Association of Canada and its chapter CIO Vancouver and Western Chair of the Couchiching Institute of Public Affairs. She is also a Big Sister and a member of the Board of Directors of the YWCA. In recent months Catherine’s guest speaking engagements have included Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, the ICE Technology Conference in Edmonton, Alberta, The CIO Leadership Conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Women & Leadership Summit in Toronto, Ontario and the Gartner Business Process Management Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. | |
