Sean’s expertise lies in the implementation of Web based Human Resource solutions. Drawing on his extensive management consulting experience in the human resource arena with clients such as The Royal Bank of Canada, Chase Manhattan Bank, Chevron and Suncor Energy, -Sean recognized the need for a suite of Web-based management tools focused on improving knowledge worker productivity. To leverage this opportunity, Sean developed and launched TalentMap in 1999. Working in close partnership with the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) and KPMG, Sean established TalentMap as the leading on-line employee satisfaction benchmark survey of its kind. TalentMap, a unique retention tool, helps to systematically reduce employee turnover. The largest technology firms in Canada use TalentMap to lead their talent retention strategies. With the increased volatility in the stock market and the resulting impact on employee stock option plans, many of the leading technology firms anxiously search for ways to retain and motivate key talent. Revealing the latest TalentMap survey results, Sean will illustrate how the salient features of employee retention have changed over the past 12 months. In addition to growing and developing TalentMap, Sean contributes regularly to the High Tech Career Journal’s “Connecting with an Expert”, as well as to the Canadian HR Reporter. He holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. |
