Rogers Communications Inc. has created a new venture fund for technology companies, know as Rogers Ventures. It will fund and advise startups that use Internet protocol technology to create new lines of business on a global scale.
Rogers Ventures is overseen by Melinda Rogers, senior vice-president of strategy and development of Rogers Communications Inc. In a recent interview Ms. Rogers said, "We wanted to bring his (my late father's) faith to this new opportunity, leveraging new platforms and technologies that create new markets, new business opportunities and gain early exposure to innovation."
