Christine Robson
I.T. Manager - Durham Regional Police

Christine Robson is the I.T. Manager at Durham Regional Police. Durham Region has a population estimated to be over 620,000 and 645,000. Durham Region covers approximately 2,500 square kilometers of mixed urban and rural land.

Durham Region is geographically the largest municipal jurisdiction in the Greater Toronto Area. There are over 1100 members at Durham Regional Police. Ms Robson has a staff of 22 IT members and has been with DRPS for 14 years.

In that time Ms. Robson has implemented numerous successful projects with her team including a new RMS and CAD system (Versadex), CCTV IP based system for cells, interview rooms, outside parking lots and more, a fully virtualized disaster recovery site for both 9-1-1 and mirroring two data centers. She is also responsible for managing the I.T. infrastructure which encompasses over 24 buildings for both voice and data and that also includes the 9-1-1 system.

Ms Robson is involved in various National and Provincial committees such as the (CACP ICT) Canadian Association Chiefs of Police- Information Communication Technology Committee, the (OACP IT) Ontario Association Chiefs of Police -Information Technology Committee, CIO Summit, (OWLE), Ontario Women in Law Enforcement and the PMP Durham Chapter.

Ms Robson also writes various articles on Technology including the challenges in policing as well as an active blogger on LinkedIn.

Ms Robson has her Computer Science degree as well as her Masters of Information Systems. She has her PMP designation and her Certified Municipal Manager accreditation CMMIII.

Ms Robson teaches part time at Seneca College and Centennial College and has worked in the I.T. industry since 1992.
