Ottawa, June 24, 2011… The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) wishes to identify organizations with services, technologies and capabilities which are a strategic to the competitive success of Canada’s advanced technology industries. Please respond to this call for expressions of interest should you wish to be part of a "Supply Chain" of preferred services and products offered to the industry.

The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) is Canada's leading, most influential and entrepreneurial technology alliance, committed to growing the global competitiveness of its members. Because members are action-oriented businesses, CATAAlliance responds with action when members need specific services or activities. The "Traditional Champion" of Canadian research and development, CATAAlliance's mission is to stimulate "Global Business Growth" through the forces of Canadian innovation and strategic partnership.

CATAAlliance has created a Canadian and international leadership list of more than one million two hundred thousand stakeholders in the advanced technology industries. Using our professional emarketing capability and social media resources, we will actively position chosen affinity services and technologies to Canadian based organizations seeking cost saving and productivity resources.

Our overall pledge is to work with your organization to: create a tailored affinity program; link you to an attractive target audience; associate you with an established relationship; and, give you a unique advantage. We will create a special landing page and social media group for selected affinity offerings, in addition to promoting and branding each supplier’s products or services to the marketplace. Cross promotion will be encouraged.

We also expect to generate media coverage and awareness in the trade press and media on the benefits of the CATA Affinity Supply Chain. Similar to its recognized advocacy voice, CATAAlliance will become the landing page of choice for the community as it seeks vetted services and technologies to help grow their enterprises.

Qualification of Interests and Next Steps

  • Review CATAAlliance’s Focus List (see above) and determine your organization's area of interest.

  • Ensure that your organization has relevant supporting documentation that includes a clear value proposition outlining cost savings or added benefits for affinity member clients, as well as customer references that can be reviewed by the CATAAlliance evaluation team.

  • Contact CATAAlliance with your expression of interest, providing key contact and background information. 

  • Confirm your CATAAlliance membership status. Processing fees may apply.

  • All expressions of interest must be submitted by September 4th, 2011, 17:00 EST by email to Cathi Malette at

Next Steps

  • CATAAlliance will review information from selected candidates to determine which areas are of specific interest for future follow-up.

  • CATAAlliance will coordinate internally to make sure that selected companies  meet with the appropriate Director vetting expressions of interest. Follow-up could take several forms including teleconference, videoconferences and site visits to confirm go forward appoaches.
