i-CANADA SUMMIT: A Canada for the 21st Century
Sunday, October 21, 2012
SAT Multi-Media Centre,
1201 Boulevard Saint-Laurent,
Montreal QC

The purpose of this email is to invite and encourage you to join the annual i-CANADA SUMMIT in Montreal on October 21st. A feature of the SUMMIT is a panel on a First Responder Test-Bed being created in Ottawa, to demo applications of high-speed communications such as steaming video for fire, medical and police projects. This is the future of First Responder communications, and you will be able to start planning for its introduction by previewing its capabilities in Montreal.

You would also be helping to celebrate the awarding of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal to your colleagues Bill Moore, Deputy Chief, Halifax Regional Police; Eldon Amoroso, Senior Director, Support Services Division London Police Service; Michael Sullivan, Division Chief Communications, Ottawa Fire Services, and Vice-Chair, Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group; Michael Webb , Vice President Technology, E-Comm 9-1-1; Pascal Rodier , Operations Manager, Sussex District, Ambulance New Brunswick; and Steve Palmer , Director, Science and Technology Transition Defence R&D Canada.

In addition, you will also have a chance to act as a “Networking Ambassador”, socializing the world of First Responders to Mayors and CEOs. If you could register for the event before October 5th, we will ensure that the seating arrangement put you at a table with guests who could be very helpful to First Responders if they more fully understood your world.

The registration link is: At the SUMMIT you will also hear a special global update on smart and intelligent community strategies being implemented around the world and across Canada.

At the end of our deliberations you will witness some amazing never-before-seen entertainment that blends new technologies with the latest Christie Digital technology -- a production called “A CANADA IN CONVERSATION”, created especially for the i-CANADA SUMMIT.
